Shareback Testing
Patient360 shareback testing validates how clinical data submitted by your organization is evaluated for patient matching, association, and eligibility to be returned to other querying organizations during sandbox-based exchange workflows.
Testing focuses on readiness and evaluation behavior rather than live data distribution, using Patient360 and Health Gorilla FHIR APIs without initiating live data exchange.
Evaluation mirrors production patient matching, storage, and eligibility logic, but does not result in live data exchange.
Shareback testing supports internal validation, partner onboarding, and integration readiness by confirming that submitted patient data is complete, correctly matched, and eligible for downstream retrieval workflows.
Shareback Workflows
Shareback workflows describe how clinical data submitted through Patient360 services becomes available for retrieval by other organizations across supported exchange networks.
During shareback testing, these workflows are evaluated in the sandbox environment to confirm:
- Patient matching alignment
- Clinical data association
- Shareback eligibility rules
Both UI-based and API-based submission methods participate in the same evaluation logic and produce equivalent shareback readiness outcomes.
Supported Activities
Shareback testing supports the following activities:
- Creating test patients eligible for external queries
- Submitting clinical data through the Patient360 UI or Health Gorilla FHIR APIs
- Validating shareback readiness, including patient matching alignment and data completeness
Environment Scope
All workflows described herein run in the sandbox environment and validate readiness using production matching and eligibility logic without initiating live data exchange.
Production shareback requires explicit enablement and follows separate operational, contractual, and governance processes.
