Network Stats, US

The Network Stats, US screen gives your organization a view of its exchange activity across the health information networks Health Gorilla connects it to, like HL7 v2 ADT messages, registry and document queries, and document sharing.

Lab orders and results are reported through the Lab Network. For activity on a single patient, refer to the Patient Transactions report. For the Canadian network, refer to Network Stats, Canada.

Reports

The reports on this screen may vary depending on your role, organizational structure, and how your environment is configured. You may see some, but likely not all, of these reports. Report metrics are refreshed once daily, overnight, and reflect the previous day's data rather than the current day's.

Network Health

Network Health shows whether exchange is working as expected for your organization, so you can confirm activity is flowing and spot failures by category.

It has two parts:

Critical indicators, per organization: the organization's name, the last date it sent an HL7 v2 ADT message, the last date it shared a document, and the last date it retrieved a document
Transaction counts: ADT transactions, registry queries, and document queries, each split into successful and failed

Document Exchange

Document Exchange summarizes how much of your organization's data moves outward and inward, and through which networks. Select the view, Shared or Retrieved, to switch between documents your organization shared outward and documents it retrieved from others.

The Shared view shows:

Total Documents Shared: the overall count
Documents Shared by EHR: shared documents broken down by the source electronic health record (EHR) system
Sharing Destinations: a zoomable geographic map of where shared documents were sent
Weekly Documents Shared: shared-document volume by week
Documents Shared, by Networks: shared documents grouped by the health information network they traveled through, such as Carequality or CommonWell
Documents Shared, by Receiving Network Participant: shared documents grouped by the specific counterparty organization that received them

The Retrieved view shows the equivalent measures for the documents your organization retrieved.

eMPI Overview

The eMPI Overview helps you understand the size and makeup of the patient population in your enterprise Master Patient Index and their exchange-consent status, that is, whether each individual has opted in or out of network exchange.

It shows:

Individuals count: the total, and a count by organization
Gender distribution: individuals by gender
Age distribution: individuals by age, with a gender breakdown
Network exchange opt-in / opt-out status: how many individuals have opted in to or out of network exchange
Geographic distribution: individuals by location

Site Configuration

Site Configuration summarizes how each organization is set up for exchange, with its status, consent default, and network licenses.

It displays:

Organization details: each organization's name, National Provider Identifier (NPI), address, and Home Community ID (HCID)
Exchange status: whether the organization is active, and enabled for data exchange
Default patient consent: the organization's default consent setting for patients who have not set a preference of their own
Patient Chart Viewer license: whether the organization holds this license
Network licenses: whether the organization holds a license for each network
Directory listings: whether the organization is listed in network directories, and when its entry was last updated
QHIN purposes of use: purposes for initiating queries, from the organization's directory entry, and for responding, by default Treatment and Individual Access Services (IAS)

Network Overview

Overview gives a network-level view of participation and transaction activity across the whole footprint, rather than for a single organization.

It shows:

Active organizations: a headline count, with a weekly trend
Network map: organizations drawn as markers, with the exchanges between them as arcs
Query volume by week: registry and document query traffic, split by direction
Patient registration events by week: ADT notification volume

A rising organization count shows organizations joining the network; the arcs show whether they're exchanging anything once connected.

Traffic Overview

Traffic Overview summarizes exchange volume across the network, with a per-organization breakdown by query type.

It shows:

Queries by organization: a table of transaction volume per organization, broken out by type and outcome
Initiating query volume by week: registry and document queries the organization started
Responding query volume by week: registry and document queries it answered
Patient registration events by week: ADT notification volume
Transaction paths: organizations on a map, with the exchange paths between them

Activity by Organization

Activity by Organization breaks the same transaction volume out per organization, by type, direction, and outcome.

It shows:

Transaction volume per organization: a table covering ADT, document query, and registry query, each split into successful and failed
Weekly trends by direction: traffic the organization initiated, and traffic it responded to
Transaction paths: each organization as a map pin, with its exchange paths as arcs
