HumanGraph

This page describes visual aspects of the web app and iFrame that do not apply to the API.

HumanGraph is a timeline view of the patient's longitudinal record. It plots the data already in the Patient Chart along a date axis, so you can see how the clinical picture changes over time and how events line up across categories.

Timeline Lanes and Markers

HumanGraph organizes records into four lanes, one per clinical category:

• Vitals and Lab Results plot values over time on a line-and-point graph, so you can follow a trend.
• Encounters and Medications appear as points and time spans that mark when each occurred or applied.

HumanGraph plots discrete, structured records. Content that exists only as document narrative appears in the Documents sections, not on the timeline.

A legend, opened from the question-mark icon, explains the markers:

• Normal and Abnormal: the reported status of a value
• Note: an attached note
• Timeframe: a span of time rather than a single point
• Grouped data points: several records close in time, shown as one marker; select it to see each
• Same-date data points: more than one record on the same date
• Proxy date: an approximate date, used when the exact date isn't known

Timeline Controls

You control what the timeline covers and how closely you look:

• Choose categories: show or hide any of the four lanes
• Set the date range: the view opens to the last year. Use the date-range picker, or a quick range: Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Current year, or Last year
• Filter within a category: for Vitals, Lab Results, and Medications, narrow to individual items, such as a specific lab test or medication
• Focus and step back: a shorter date range zooms in, a previous-range control steps back, and selecting Last year again returns you to the default view

Data Point Details

Select a point on any lane to open a detail panel for that date. The panel lists every record from that date, grouped into collapsible cards by category, with a Jump to menu that moves you to a category within the panel. From there, open an individual record for its full detail. The detail stays within HumanGraph.
