Network Stats, Canada

The Network Stats, Canada screen gives your organization a view of its exchange activity across the Canadian health information network, including registry and document queries, document exchange, and the patient population behind that activity.

For activity on a single patient, refer to the Patient Transactions report. For the United States network, refer to Network Stats, US.

Reports

The reports on this screen may vary depending on your role, organizational structure, and how your environment is configured. You may see some, but likely not all, of these reports. Report metrics are refreshed once daily, overnight, and reflect the previous day's data rather than the current day's.

C-CDA Exchange Metrics

C-CDA Exchange Metrics shows how clinical documents move across the network, at what volume, and where that movement breaks down.

It shows:

• Registry Query: Documents requested, by initiating and responding organizations. Sets the baseline for how much discovery activity you generate and absorb.
• Documents Exchanged: Documents exchanged, by initiating and responding organizations. Read against Registry Query, it shows how often a search returns a document.
• Weekly Exchanged Document Volume: Documents exchanged by week. Surfaces any sudden changes.
• Document Count by Organization: Documents exchanged by organization. Each bar reads as the responding organization served this many documents to the initiating organization.
• Documents Shared and Retrieved by Organization: Documents shared and retrieved, by organization. Separates net contributors from net consumers.
• Weekly Registry Query Volume: Discovery requests by week. Surfaces any sudden changes.
• Weekly Query Count by Organization: Discovery requests per organization. Shows which organizations drive the volume.
• Initiating Registry Query Status by Organization: Successes against failures per organization, on a logarithmic scale. Check here when volume reads healthy but results don't.

Data Exchange Visualization

Data Exchange Visualization shows the geographic shape of exchange, including which facilities documents originated from and how concentrated the traffic is.

It shows:

• Data Exchange Transactions: Map of facilities, sized by volume, with the exchange paths drawn between them. Check here to see how far your reach extends and which corridors carry the most traffic.

Patient Demographics

Patient Demographics describes the patient populations behind exchange activity, and surfaces coverage disparities and gaps.

It shows:

• Patient Count: Total unique patients in the population.
• Patient Distribution Map: Geographic density across Canada, showing where the population concentrates and which regions are thinly covered.
• Population Breakdown by Age Group and Gender: Age profile, split by gender.
• Patients at Multiple Organizations: Patients known to more than one organization, grouped by how many organizations hold a record for each person. A high share means one person's record is scattered and worth assembling.
• Patient Population by Province: Counts by province or territory of residence.
