Patient Chart Viewer

The Patient Chart Viewer is the embedded, view-only presentation of the Patient Chart. A host application launches it inside its own interface, so clinical users review a patient's normalized, longitudinal record in place, without leaving the host system and without building a chart interface.

The Viewer takes its user and patient context from the host electronic health record (EHR), portal, or application it's embedded in. For the launch and embedding options, refer to Access Methods.

It renders clinical data that Patient360 and other upstream workflows have already processed and stored. Data may originate from external exchange networks such as Carequality, CommonWell, eHealth Exchange, Qualified Health Information Network (QHIN), and Qualified Health Information Organization (QHIO), as well as from direct integrations.

The Viewer does not perform upstream data retrieval, query external networks, or modify source data. Instead, it renders previously processed data as a unified patient record for review across encounters and care settings. Data availability and completeness depend on external data sources, exchange participation, and patient matching outcomes.

Capabilities

The Patient Chart Viewer lets you:
