The Patient Summary is the default landing view when you open the Patient Chart. It provides a high-level snapshot of recent clinical activity and commonly referenced data to help you quickly assess the patient's record.

It consolidates key information from across the chart into a set of summary cards. Each card represents a specific data category and previews the most recent records available for that category.

Basic patient context, such as name, date of birth, and gender, stays visible so you stay oriented while navigating the chart.

Summary Cards

The Patient Summary includes informational cards for commonly referenced data categories. This set is a default; which cards appear can vary with your organization's configuration. A typical set includes:

  • Encounters
  • Diagnoses / Problems
  • Medications
  • Allergies
  • Diagnostics: labs and imaging
  • Procedures
  • Immunizations
  • Providers

Each card:

  • Displays a limited number of recent records
  • May support filtering within the card

A View All action on each card opens the corresponding chart section without changing patient context, and moving through the summary doesn't trigger new upstream data retrieval.

Data Scope

  • Summary cards display only data available in the processed dataset
  • The number and type of records shown depend on prior workflows
  • An empty or missing card means no corresponding records are currently available; such records may still exist in external systems
