v2645
The Health Gorilla release 2645 is scheduled to go live in sandbox on October 21, 2026, and in production on October 28, 2026.
Features are marked as applicable.
- [UI] marks a user interface change.
- [Config] means the feature isn't available by default. It must be enabled at the tenant level.
- [FF] means the feature sits behind a flag, which can be enabled in the sandbox for testing before the feature is rolled out in production.
Platform
30-Minute Session Timeout [UI]: The option to stay logged in for longer periods was removed from settings. Now, web app sessions end after 30 minutes of inactivity for all users. The Remember me option on the login page, which fills in the username, is unchanged.
Patient360
Network Requests in Patient360: Patient360 requests were updated to record a network that fails or times out as unsuccessful, allowing callers to differentiate a failed request from one that found no records. The $p360-retrieve status now includes a failed parameter alongside inProgress and partial, and a failed network no longer sets the starting date for the next CommonWell query.
Patient Chart
- Undetermined Results [UI] [FF]: Results that aren't classified as lab, radiology, or clinical test results in an imported C-CDA are now stored as undetermined results, as are FHIR
DiagnosticReportresults with the categoryOTH. In the Patient Chart iFrame, they appear under Diagnostics, on a new page titled Undetermined. In the original Patient Chart web app, they still appear with other results on the Results screen and in print and PDF outputs. The Patient Chart API now returns them with theOTHER_RESULTresult type. - Diagnosis Statuses [UI]: Recurrence, Relapse, and Remission were added as diagnosis statuses in the Patient Chart API, Patient Chart Viewer status filter, and View Diagnosis window, so C-CDA relapse and remission phase statuses appear correctly.
- Document Source Organization Column [UI]: In the Patient Chart iFrame, the Source column on the medical history pages was renamed Document Source Organization.
- Clinical Test and Undetermined Result Uploads [UI]: In the original Patient Chart web app, Clinical Test Result and Undetermined Result were added as types in the Upload Document window and the form for adding a fax to a patient's chart. Now, files and faxes can be stored as those results.
- Diagnosis Deduplication Across Code Systems: Diagnosis deduplication was updated to compare codes across every code system, including translations. Now, two diagnoses are merged when they share a matching code and have no conflicting code in a shared code system.
- Coding Details Indicators [UI] [Config] [FF]: Health Gorilla's terminology services validate incoming clinical codes against value sets and complete missing coding details, such as a code’s system or description. In the Patient Chart, on the medical history pages, indicators identify where codes were missing and what information was updated. Hovering over an indicator shows a summary, and opening the record shows the Coding change log. The indicators can be reached by keyboard and are read by screen readers.
- Allergy Reaction Severity [UI]: In the Patient Chart iFrame, on the Allergies page, the Reaction and Severity columns were merged into one column, so each reaction appears with its own severity.
Lab Network
Billable Results and Orders on the Enterprise Portal Dashboard [UI]: In the Enterprise Portal, on the Dashboard page, Results By Vendor, Results By Practice, Orders By Vendor, and Orders By Practice tables were added. Each has a Billable Results or Billable Orders column beside its unique count, so the counts reconcile to billing. Billable counts start with the release, and periods that include earlier dates show N/A.
Individual Access Services (IAS)
Identity Token Address Matching: When an identity token is uploaded through $update-external-ial2, the address from the token is added to the patient's addresses, so the verified address is on record for subsequent queries. When the patient already has a different address listed, the token address is added as an additional address. Verification matches only the first name, last name, and date of birth, so patients whose address, phone number, or email has changed can still be verified.
Resolutions
- Messages Page in the Patient Chart iFrame [UI]: Updated the Messages page in the Patient Chart iFrame, so it loads properly in sandbox and production.
- Async Notification Codes: Corrected the
OperationOutcomenotifications sent when an async request completes, such as$p360-retrieve, so each issue carries the requiredcodeand code system, and notifications pass FHIR R4 validation. - Lab Result Subscriptions: Corrected FHIR subscriptions with the criteria
Observation?category=laboratory, so they can be created and new lab results are delivered to them. - Compendium Search Paging: In compendium searches, including FHIR
ValueSet$expand, corrected paging, so each offset returns the next page and no test appears on two pages. - Text-Only Diagnoses [UI]: In the Patient Chart, corrected handling of text-only C-CDA diagnoses, so diagnosis lists and the Problems section of exported C-CDA documents show only coded entries.
- Document Attachments [UI]: In the web app, corrected the window for attaching patient documents to messages, orders, referrals, and records requests, so it lists every patient document, including discharge summaries, progress notes, and history and physical notes.
- SMART on FHIR Launch from an Unrecognized Endpoint: For SMART on FHIR launches of the Patient Chart iFrame, resolved an issue with launches from an unrecognized FHIR endpoint or from a facility without configured credentials, so the launch returns a 400 error naming the endpoint.
- CPT Code Formatting [UI]: Updated CPT code formatting in the Patient Chart iFrame, on the Procedures page, so a space follows the colon.
- Lab Network iFrame Order Header [UI]: In the Lab Network iFrame, corrected the order wizard for a locked patient, so the New Order header and the Vendor, Tests, Complete, and Submit step indicator stay visible.
- Patient Chart iFrame Dates [UI]: Corrected dates in the Patient Chart iFrame that appeared a day early for viewers west of UTC. Dates now appear as recorded.
- AOE Answers with an Unrecognized Question: In
POST /fhir/R4/RequestGroup, corrected handling of an Ask at Order Entry (AOE) answer whoselinkIdisn't one of the ordered test's AOE questions. Now, these orders return 422 with theorder-aoes-unknowncode and identify the unrecognized question. - Observation Search by Code: Corrected FHIR R4
Observationsearches on a code entered with or without its code system, such ascode=2339-0orcode=http://loinc.org|2339-0, so they return the matching results for patients whose lab results were imported through FHIR.
