v2629
Health Gorilla release 2629, scheduled to go live in sandbox on July 7 and production on July 14, includes new features, enhancements, and resolutions. Some are available only by configuration and remain off until enabled; contact Health Gorilla for assistance. Items with a visible change to the interface are marked [UI].
Interoperability
Clinical Test Results via FHIR DiagnosticReport: The FHIR R4 API now supports a new clinical test result type on DiagnosticReport, in addition to lab and radiology results.
Administration
PractitionerRole API Organization and Identifier Query: The PractitionerRole API now accepts the organization and identifier (National Provider Identifier or NPI) parameters together in a single query, letting you retrieve a specific provider in one call.
Filter Transaction Log by Purpose of Use [UI]: On the Network Administration Transactions screen, the Purpose of Use filter and column make it easier to see which organizations have a given use case enabled, such as treatment or IAS.
Initiating and Responding Organization [UI]: On the Network Administration Transactions screen, the Initiating and Responding columns now display the corresponding organizations.
ADT Notifications
Patient Matching Suffix Exclusion: ADT patient matching now treats name suffixes (such as Jr., Sr., or III) as non-distinguishing. A suffix present on one record but missing from another no longer blocks a match when other demographics align.
A29 Patient Delete Support: ADT processing now supports the HL7 v2 A29 (Delete Patient) message, which removes the identified patient from the organization to improve query results.
A40 Patient Merge Support: In Canada, ADT processing now supports the HL7 v2 A40 message, merging a duplicate patient record into the primary record.
Patient Identifier OID Enrichment: In Canada, when an inbound ADT message lacks the facility object identifier (OID) for a patient, ADT processing now adds it to improve FHIR API matching later.
Patient Chart Viewer
Inbox Page Layout [UI]: All remaining Inbox pages now use the same layout as the Labs, Imaging, and Documents pages, for a consistent view.
USCDI Compliance: Several Patient Chart Viewer changes in this release support USCDI v3 compliance. To learn more about USCDI standards, go to the: Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology.
- New SDOH Data Classes [UI]: The left navigation panel, under the Medical History, now includes additional social-determinants-of-health (SDOH) data classes: Goals, Health Concerns, Interventions, and Assessments.
- Lab Results Specimen Elements [UI]: The Lab Results screen now displays additional details about results, including Specimen source site, Specimen ID, and Specimen condition code.
- Related Person Relationship Data [UI]: In the Demographics section, under Contact Information, each Related Person now shows phone numbers and addresses.
- Clinical Test Results Category [UI]: The Diagnostics section now includes a Clinical Tests category in addition to Labs and Imaging, with results that also roll up under Diagnostics in the Patient Summary.
Resolutions
Patient Chart Duplicate Medications [UI]: Resolved duplicate medication listings in Medical History that differed only by a free-text instruction note.
Related Person Name Rendering [UI]: Fixed the Patient Chart Viewer rendering "undefined" for a Related Person when part of their name is missing.
Embedded Portal PDF Download: Fixed a PDF download issue in Chrome and Edge that occurred when the portal is embedded in a cross-origin iFrame.
PractitionerRole Location: Fixed an issue with PractitionerRole.location being ignored, which prevented assigning location-specific account numbers.
Care Team Members Pagination Error: Fixed an HTTP 500 from the care-teams/members endpoint that occurred when the requested offset exceeded the total result count.
Malformed Request Body Response Code: Corrected the API to return 400 Bad Request instead of 500 Internal Server Error for malformed or invalid request bodies.
CCD Provider Import: In the Patient Chart Viewer, fixed a display issue with the Provider column for Goals, Health Concerns, and Interventions imported from a C-CDA.
